Very high quality authentic Japanese food. Not cheap, but worth it of you want the best. Sit at the counter to see them prepare the foods. If you appreciate good sushi and Japanese food, definitely worth a visit

I am in love with this place! When passing by, one would think Shima is just a neighborhood house, but it’s a hidden gem in the Venice area. Delicate sushi rolls with quality meat.

YES! Great high end Japanese. All the dishes we had was superb and their sense for fish is brilliant. Pricy but worth it!

Wonderful stuff away from the bougie insanity of Venice. Phenomenal flavors. Great sushi.

Excellent Toro and Fresh cut assorted Omakase. The service is very formal, it’s family-owned and operated, in a modern setting that mixes Japanese architecture with Eames barstool chairs. Highly recommended even if you’re far from Abbott Kinney.
